Leadership Programs

Developing Future Leaders

At School of Modern Skills, we believe leadership is developed through authentic experiences that empower students to use their voices, serve their community, and make a positive impact. Through Student Council, students have opportunities to represent their peers, collaborate with school leaders, organize events, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen school culture. Student Council members develop essential leadership skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, and civic engagement while learning the value of service and advocacy.

Our Model United Nations (MUN) program challenges students to think critically about global issues, engage in respectful debate, and develop solutions to real-world challenges. As delegates, students build skills in research, public speaking, negotiation, and diplomacy while gaining a deeper understanding of international relations and global citizenship. Together, Student Council and MUN provide meaningful opportunities for students to develop confidence, leadership capacity, and a sense of responsibility as engaged members of both the school community and the wider world.

Health & Safety Commitment

At The School of Modern Skills, safety is a line management responsibility. Teachers are responsible for safety in their own areas and for the implementation of relevant safety procedures. The School Health and Safety Manager monitors the safety generally and the operation of safety procedures to make sure all these procedures are followed by all the staff. Through regular training, inspections, and compliance measures, we maintain a secure learning environment for everyone.

Principal's Responsibility

The school Principal reviews and approve the health and safety policy along with other operations of safety procedures and have them implemented to all the staff and students. The responsibility of the principal includes To understand and comply with the laws, expectations and responsibilities placed on schools by the civil authorities in Dubai and the UAE. To guide and advise on all health and safety matters. Ensure that adequate fire protection and prevention measures are provided.

Health & Safety Management

The Manager of the school HSE & operations is responsible for ensuring that risk assessments are carried out and reviewed on a regular basis, as part of a safety audit.
Audits and Health & Safety tours will be carried out as per the risk assessment review cycle and more frequently if there have been any significant changes to the building, machinery, equipment, work practices or personnel. The assessment team will consist of a number of staff, at least one person being ‘competent’ to make assessments concerning the activities or processes involved.
